TIMBERON WATER & SANITATION DISTRICT
MINUTES FOR THE MEETING OF JUNE 23, 2006

A special meeting of the Timberon Water & Sanitation District Board of Directors was held on June 23, 
2006 at 10:00 AM in the community center.  Board members present were Tom Tannehill, Scott Millar, 
and Sid Benson.  Joan Schug attended telephonically.  Betty Phillips was absent.  

The agenda was approved.

The general manager position has been posted.  The due date for applications is July 5th.  The board of 
directors will interview the candidates.  Tom Tannehill suggested that each director come up with 
questions to ask all of the candidates.  Maybe ten of these questions will be posed to each candidate and 
graded independently by all of the directors.  Scott Millar stated that the questions should only be used as 
a guide to select a candidate.  Sid Benson felt that community involvement by a prospective manger was 
very important.  References will be checked.  Scott Millar moved to have, ?Budgeted salary and benefit 
package up to $20,300.? added to the job description.  Sid Benson seconded the motion and it passed 
unanimously.

Tom Tannehill volunteered to act as an interim general manager.  It is an unpaid position.  Sid Benson 
moved to accept Tom?s offer and Scott Millar seconded the motion.  Sid Benson, Scott Millar, and Joan 
Schug voted in favor and Tom Tannehill abstained from voting.

Joan Schug moved to keep the billing clerk on for three weeks in the month of July.  The money will 
come from the general manager?s pay since Bill Gideon resigned effective June 16th.  Scott Millar 
seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Betty Phillips will have a budget committee meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 10:00 am.

Debbie Goss asked for confirmation that the board of directors approved a comment to the NMPRC about 
changes to their Rules 770 and 810.  The board approved having Joan Schug sign the comment to submit 
to the NMPRC.
