Managers Report For September 16, 2006 (1) Enclosed is a copy of bid to redo the swimming pool. I am waiting on the pool man to come-up and give us a bid to replace the old pool with a new one. Hopefully he will be up the 3rd or 4th week of September. (2) Partial inventory of the maintenance shop was completed the week of August 21-25. We will complete the other half as soon as time permits. (3) The bid for the new back-hoe was won by Nueces Power Equipment. Delivery time is set for mid-October. (4) September 14- the county sent-up 6 inmates to help us on the road projects. They started cleaning out culverts. Joe Wheeler worked with them on this project. Many Thanks to Joe for his help on this project. We will try and get them back next week. (5) I want to thank the following people who have volunteered their services to TWSD to help us with our road projects: Bill Wausen, Richard Rodriquez, Joe Wheeler, Ken Bradshaw, Dick Dysart, Arden Shug and Johnny Ebbs. If I have left anybody's name off the list-let me know. It is this kind of participation that pulls the community together-after all-we are all in this together. AGAIN- I thank everybody for their help. It is really appreciated. (6) Kevin Ross and Gene Popejoy are hauling material for the roads for 10 days. This is being done under disaster emergency. This job has been bid in the newspaper and to contractors in the area. The bid went out September 8, 2006 and will be closed September 18, 2006. (7) The electric work on the new will begin September 19th, 2006. (8) Special thanks goes out to everybody who cleaned out the culverts again by the river. (9) Thanks to Glenda Gentry, Scott Millar and Arden Shug for their continued work on disaster funding for Timberon. (10) Have been discussing with Bill Morley the condition of the old grader- Bill thinks he can get it running, if so we will try and get Rusty to look at it and try to see why the seal is leaking. He might be able to help get it running. (11) I also want to thank Mandy for helping with the filing and storage of documents this week. This was helpful to Linda and Debbie.
